Pediatrics Specialist

Dr. Ramakrishna is our resident Pediatric Specialist. He is affiliated with Corpus Christi Medical Center, as well as CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi.

Dr. Jorge S. Rodriguez, MD

Pediatrician

Dr. Rodriguez has been a practicing pediatrician for over 20 years. He is affiliated with several hospitals in the area, including Driscoll Children's Hospital and CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi.

Dr. Toby Garcia, MD, MBA, RPh

Pediatrician

Dr. Garcia has been in the general pediatric care for more 35 years with compassion and knowledge. He has been affiliated with Children's Health Associates of Corpus Christi from 1985 to present and is currently one of our practicing pediatrician in SPID Pediatrics.

Jessica Robles, NP

Jessica Marie Robles, FNP-C

With a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University Kingsville and a Bachelor of Nursing from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, both completed with honors, Jessica has demonstrated her commitment to excellence from the outset. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Purdue University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing at the University of Texas Arlington. Board certified by the American Association Nurse Practitioners, Jessica holds invaluable experience in both Primary Pediatric Care and Emergency Care settings. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jessica finds joy in her family life, being married to Roger and blessed with three beautiful children: Roger, Román, and Rosette. With her compassionate approach to patient care, Jessica eagerly looks forward to building meaningful relationships with her new patients.

Brianna Mebane, NP

Brianna Mebane, FNP

Brings a wealth of experience in pediatric care to her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Graduating from TAMUCC in 2013 with her BSN, Brianna honed her skills as an RN primarily in the NICU at Driscoll Children's Hospital. Continuing her educational journey, she earned her MSN from UTA before embarking on her career as an APRN with SPI Pediatrics. Brianna's dedication to pediatric healthcare is matched only by her love for her local community, where she resides with her significant other. Outside of work, Brianna enjoys immersing herself in hobbies that rejuvenate her spirit, ensuring she brings her best self to her patients each day.

Gloria Calk, PA

Gloria Yturria-Calk, PA-C

Brings over two decades of invaluable experience to her role as a Physician Assistant. Having dedicated the last 20 years to the field of pediatrics, Gloria's journey began at Driscoll Children's Hospital, where she specialized in Pediatric surgery and Urology for seven years. Transitioning her focus to General Pediatrics, Gloria has spent the past 13 years caring for children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents. As a Pediatric PA, Gloria finds fulfillment in educating parents on newborn care, promoting healthy growth and development in toddlers, and supporting teenagers through their adolescent challenges. Her passion lies in ensuring the holistic well-being of children, both physically and mentally, empowering them to achieve their life aspirations.

Barbara Chimbunde, PA

Barbara Chimbunde, PA

Is a dedicated pediatric Physician Assistant with a deep-seated passion for providing quality healthcare to children. Graduating from Howard University in 2001 with a degree in Physician Assistant Studies, she began her career in the emergency room of a county hospital in Washington DC before transitioning to pediatrics. Since 2004, she has been serving the children of SPIPC as a Physician Assistant, while also expanding her contributions to include Driscoll Children's Hospital Cancer and Blood Disorder Center since 2009 and the DCH Emergency Department since 2017. Committed to family-centered care, Barbara is eager to continue her mission of caring for children and involving their families in their healthcare journey.
